According to a study that a child is more likely to know more about their smartphone rather than real life, according to AVG Technologies, 58% of
children aged between 3 and 5 can successfully operate a smartphone but
fewer than 1 in 6 can perform simple tasks such as making their own
breakfast. Tim Elmore, founder of Growing Leaders, a non profit organisation based out of Georgia that works with schools and civic groups to promote leadership qualities in children, said, “I see many parents doing everything for their kids instead of letting them figure out how to fend for themselves.
With advances in technology, the ability of children to handwrite be reduced because they assume that things like this are less important, However skills like cooking or cleaning the house or other matters are still quite important. Parents should accompany their children to help improve their abilities that can be used in everyday life and always guide the interests of their health, for example, invites children to gardening and etc.
Technology is claimed to has limitations for child to communicate effectively and has limitations the creativity for children. As the parents should understand that the current technology is developing very fast and how these important for everyday life.
Of all these explanations, moderation and supervision still very much needed especially with children.
